Ian Walker

Tutoring in: Climate Change and Green Energy

Ian worked as a research scientist and academic for 40 years. This time includes doctoral research at Adelaide University followed by post doctoral work in Cambridge UK, and the University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA.

In Australia he worked as a senior research scientist at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute and as educator and researcher at the University of Melbourne. His specialities were Immunology and Biochemistry, areas in which he is widely published.

Since departing the University of Melbourne Ian has changed fields from professional molecular biologist to amateur climate scientist with a keen interest in green energy. His hope and belief is that when people understand the science behind climate change and the opportunity of carbon-free energy production the politics will look after itself.
