Christine Ferrari

Facilitator:  Creative Writing Workshops

Christine Ferrari BA (Hons), PhD (Monash University)

Christine facilitates the short course called Creative Writing Workshop ( 1 and 2).

Christine lectured at Monash and Victoria Universities and at Charles Sturt University (CSU) in NSW. Subjects taught include creative writing (fiction; autobiography; script-writing), literature and screen studies (cinema and television). She also took on the directorship of a writers’ centre for a few years while working at CSU.

One of the highlights of her academic career was meeting the African American author, Toni Morrison, in 2006 at an Italian conference in Abruzzo. Morrison’s novels were the subject of Christine’s PhD so delivering a conference paper on one of Morrison’s novels with the author in the audience was daunting but exciting. Fortunately Morrison liked the paper.

Recent hiking holidays include the walking the Camino to Santiago de Compostela in Northern Spain and Lake Como, the Italian Riviera and the Cinque Terre in Italy.
